Not For Profit Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturing Act*
SECTION 1. We, the adult Citizens of the United States of America, hereby declare that we believe it is unethical, and indeed that it is immoral that any corporation should derive corporate profits from the illness, disease, and suffering of any person.
SECTION 2. We further declare that any corporation that is operating within the territory of the United States of America that is engaged in the development and manufacturing of any pharmaceutical that is used to treat any illness or disease condition, or any pharmaceutical that is intended to alleviate the pain and suffering associated with any physical or mental condition shall be required to operate on a not for profit basis.
SECTION 3. The price of any pharmaceutical shall not exceed the cost incurred in the research, development, manufacturing, and distribution of that pharmaceutical.
Upon being Approved and Ratified by a majority of the adult Citizens of the United States of America, this Act shall immediately become law.
